Left over bit's & bob's

Good morning everyone,We have snow this morning & it's freezing cold
although the sun has just come out.
Can i just say nobody has offended me in any way over my butterfly colony on my last card HAHA
Hazel thought i was upset as i hadn't  posted  a card. Well hear it is made from left over bit's

I had a busy day yesterday,We went shopping,& had to go round my friend's
Her Cut N Boss arrived, but she asked if i would pop round as she couldn't get the plates to go through. So i tried with no luck. So she phoned Crafters Companion, they told her to put her hands inside to push the two buttons up & the motor started up,so they said there was nothing wrong with
the machine & you have to push plates in hard still never took the plates .Then phoned C&C & told them it wasn't working, they said to send it back so they can repair it as they had  no more stock My friend told them she wanted a full refund as wasn't going to have it repaired,& for them to collect it.
.
Back to my card not sure why the middle went to the top but hay ho.
Started with  A5 scalloped edge card  blank layered up white pearl card, green leftover card. Had a white Cordoba already cut added the demo cut fold tuck die cuts on top of each other added green dazzler to middle a Itty Bitty bow & a small butterfly on the corner, added 3 pearl flat back pearls to left corner. The middle i stamped the sentiment cut out with the Stockholm die,cut the outer edge of same die in green glued together.added small butterfly. Job done
Thank you for popping in today your all welcome, it would be lovely if you could leave me a comment, please be honest if you like it that's great but if not that's ok too.
Please stay safe if your going out today wrap up warm, get them liberty bodices on ladies.

What an awful shame, I bet your friend went from being so excited to being fuming ! Crafters Companion have a lot to answer to. Hope Tina E doesn't have problems, Id hate to be in the persons shoes if she has to complain again about a broken e- bosser !

  4. Hi Lynda,
This is a gorgeous card and I love the nip-tuck thingy hihi I think i got one somewhere, will have to look later. Nice colours and I like your sentence,so true! I have tried too to use up some scraps too and I found on-line something called starburst cards that look easy enough to make for a egg head like me:-) anyhow because I'm foreign I never used inches and they don't make much sense to me so I did it my way and it actually came out alright after some fine trimming hihi My ruler has inches and they are fine until things like 1/8,
3/4 and 5/8 coming up then I'm totally lost. I do will try again for it is a good way to use up all the bits or make a beautiful card like yours.
Son Christian and Rick went to 9 different dealers last sunday and I think they gone down to 2 choices ,not many small cars he could fit in comfortably but don't want him really to have a bigger car and they are pricier...
Hope Terry got on well at the doc.? are you sleeping any better ? Signing off now ,you take care now Warm Hugs to you all Maria x

  6. Hi Lynda

A really beautiful card today, I made a cut tuck and fold card for s friend, and when she saw it she said "how did you do that". I made the biggest blooper ever and got my F's and T's around the wrong way. I did see a look off shock on her face but took it as how clever. Paul took me aside and said do you realize what you have just said, I said yes, she asked me how I made it and I told her that I Cut F--- & Told it. I was mortified. How the hell do you go back and say I'd got it wrong without saying it again. What a big WHOOPS that was, and my kids won't let me forget it.

Anyway Lynda, I'm like you. I like lovely comments about my cards, but can also handle not so good comments.

  8. I said I'd be back to see what you had posted and it has taken me till now, got wee grandson staying (6) then Gillian showed me what they were thinking for the night invites so had to make one up to see how it would work. Then the phone went, next Andrew wanted his supper so he could go to bed. You see what can be done with those bit box bits, this is gorgeous, I love making these bit box cards, you have seen I won't even waste that 51/4 - 4 piece of card left from every A3 sheet of card. Well today I completed the cutting of the striplets for the main invites so that's all the bits cut for them. Now I have between 50-70 more striplets to cut for the evening ones, Andrew is saying they should re look at whom they are thinking of inviting to the evening part, so that's why I have said between those numbers, I think the striplet will be needing to retire by the end of all this. Off now to put my feet up. So glad I didn't upset you. Hazel xx

My you did have a busy day yesterday, are you sick of striplets, can you still use it I thought you said it cracked,or have you bought another one. Dose your Xcut machine cut them in one parse, what do you think of it,.
      Good luck with them.

    2. Lynda my iPad dies the same, drives me mad sometimes. Yes I bought a replacement die, I just couldn't risk cutting myself with it, it works ok but will keep it as a back up. Two runs through I would say to make sure it's sll cut. Saying that my new one goes through my G.C beautifully, yet the old one wouldn't cut great. Hazel x

    3. Hi Hazel,
strange how IPads freeze it's so annoying as usually happen's when almost finished typing, then have to do it all again.
That's a pain having to buy a new striplet but good if you only have to pass it through once, that save you some time. So how many have you got to cut all together Hazel.

  9. Oops nearly missed this one Lynda we have had a visitor unexpectedly so that put me back for the day, but it was lovely to see him. Can you believe this his Mum and Dad will be having their 65th wedding anniversary in April! When it was their Diamond wedding I made the cake, yes you have guessed it, I am making one for this year too! They are such a lovely old couple it will be a pleasure, also I will get to make them a card.
Your card today is wonderfully put together and all from your bit box really well done. Your colours are perfect, I love them and as always love your butterfly which is quite simply perfect. I have said it before and will again I do so like how you fashion the inside of your cards.
Take care in this cold weather and have a lovely weekend.

    1. Me again if your friend has problems getting her money back there is always the Office of Fair Trading she could go to and they don't charge as the machine is 'not fit for the purpose for which it was bought' they should take her case on but no way should she accept a repair. Has she thought of contacting Craftwell the company in the USA to see their response, surely they will not want bad publicity for their new machine.
      Hope this may help Lynda

    2. Hello Margaret,
Thank you again for your kind words. Ooo you have so many talents. The Cake your making sounds wonderful can you send me a picture when you made it & the card of course. I just had a thought wow that hurt lol if you would like I can always show your cards on my blog like Sandra dose on her's,but only if you want too.
My friend is getting a refund from C & C as she got it from them, they did say they would do a repair, she wasn't having any of that & told them straight no way. Both customer services where very abrupt on the phone especially Crafters companion she kept insisting it was working.
How's my adopted grandson Ben did you tell him he has a long distance Nannie.😘
      A bit nutty with it.
Thank you for all the info for my friend it's very thoughtful of you my friend.

    3. Delighted to hear your friend will be getting a refund I should think so too. I really do think there is a lesson to be learnt here don't you? I am not very keen on Crafters Companion they think they are so wonderful no matter what and quite frankly I really don't think they are. I know of several people that say they will say anything to sell a product! As for C & C I just don't buy from them, I have had so much trouble with them in the past and their postage rates are outrageous to say the least. As for some of the presenters the least said the better I think. Sorry Lynda rant over.
Are you seeing your little prince charming this weekend, if so please give him a hug from me.

  10. Hi Lynda,
I love that little butterfly, it's so pretty!
Good to see you using your older dies again, they make a great focal piece!
I would never go back to create and cerastes for customer service, I would have rang crafters companion and have them collect it as the distributor ! C&C are rubbish at customer service!
I do hope she gets it sorted so in, how bloody frustrating!
£200 in a machine that broke before use!
    Unacceptable! Go get them Lynda!
    Love and hugs,

  11. Hi Lynda,
Love your Card and your Beautiful Butterfly and the wonderful Bow, you really make great use of different Coloured Card I just Love it.
As with your Friends e-Bosser I have one it's the worst thing I've Purchashed I thought it would help over the Christmas Period having so many Cards to make!
Crafters Companion make out they Cut Dies straight away They Don't! The Plates often Spit back out and the Cutting Plate Bends!
I've now returned to using my faithful Grand Calibur.
I think Crafters Companion and Sarah have gone too far.
    Good Customer Service is Paramount.
    Take Great Care

thank you so much your very kind.
When my friend phoned Crafters companion the lady on customer service was very abrupt, The plates on the Cut n boss wouldn't even go in the machine, she said she wasn't pushing them in hard enough, any way she is going to write a letter of complaint to head office.
Have a good weekend Sam hope your well.
