  1. Hi Lynda,
Like how you used the Lyra die as a frame around the card, cascading waves in teal, very nice and so is the stamp. I have got the butterfly die but not used it much yet. The new dies that came out will have to be put right at the back as I like to get some from the last batch first.... The Stockholm is nice and I like how you always make it look and finished with a die cut and a lovely sentence on the inside.
It's very cold, sure the same down in Kent, so had thought it a good day for crafting but woke up with a pain so stupid and meds. has not shift it by now so thats me for today. Will give me a chance to catch up with some recorded programs...I never saw Downton Abbey when it was first aired so I have started to see it now and got stuck from the first episode :-) I like period dramas but also Casualty and Bones, Father Brown plus some Tool sheds and Sue in between.Keeps the hours go quicker during sleepless nights. Omg I'm a real mooner today, sorry. My Christian is 6'4" so yes it was a bit tricky to find the right car but luckily he fits ok in a Nissan Micra ,automatic so it want be long before he can take his mamma around the shops :-) I will also book a place at one of Julia W. workshops for March and we have A P to look forward too, roll on spring! Hope your day is good, cuddles to Annie and Bambi, hi to Freddy too Warm Hugs Maria xx

  2. Hello Maria, sorry your not feeling too good this morning,& not up too much ,Enjoy watching Downton Abbey I like that as well do you watch Broadchurch the new series started. Tool shed is better you get more demos without the presenters butting in all the time, hope next week Sue doesn't get Me Me D B can't stand her. Christian is tall like my two Darren is 6'4 & Lisa is 6'2 But the we are both tall I'm 5'8 & Terry is 6'1. I was worried when they both started driving, but been a good few years now since they started. We have a Nissan Cube love it.
Are Julia's work shops near you,are they expensive,we never get anything like that in Kent, only Ally Pally. But Hay Ho looking forward to that. Hope you feel better soon Maria.

  3. Hi Lynda,
Your not going to believe this but I've never actually cut the Lyra out fully! Told you I get in a rut! It makes a lovely frame. Like the teal too but don't have any of that. It's that rut I'm in! Lovely flowers and butterflies! I'm going to try to make a similar card to one Sue made with the butterflies in soft colours going up the card! We'll see.
Maria - so sorry you are in such pain. It must be awful not being able to sleep because of pain. Some of us - me - are not thankful enough! Hope you have a better night and that you feel better tomorrow!
Got family here at the moment - boys watching football and I'm finishing my glass of wine! Shhh.
    Lots of love,

  6. Wow oh wow Lynda this is splendid your colours and embellishments are quite simply beautiful, I do so love your stamping but how on earth did you get the colours like that. Did you use one of those large ink pads with a variety of colours?
I hope by now you are feeling more bright eyed and bushy tailed thanks to nurse Bambi.
Ben was riding yesterday and had a great time, then had an even better time with his friend he meets and shares a lesson with at the stables as they have plenty of snow there. Lisa had booked a private hack as she had had quite a week at school so just wanted to relax. So off she and on of the girls from the stables went, but on the way back they had just got back through the gates ready for the long walk down the drive and something spook both horses and they took of at a gallop in opposite directions! Lisa says how she stayed on she will never know, she hung on for grim death she said. The other girl who is very experienced was not so lucky the horse threw her and had to go to A & E she has bad concussion. Thank goodness they both had all the safety gear on especially riding hats, that was the first thing Lisa bought even before her joddies, now she had all the gea.r She looks lovely and so smart when she does dressage. The experience hasn't put her off, she has booked another for next week when Ben will be at pony club.
Well enjoy the rest of your evening, and do
take care if you are out in this weather.
    With love and hugs

  8. Hi lovely,
Your use of the Lyra die is brilliant, I just bought two of the other stamps in sue's range, butterfly meadow and a pack of two smaller ones, so will be giving these a go in the week.
What you got planned? You meeting your crafty friend? I still can't believe she had to send her new machine back before she had even run a die through it! It kind of shows the poor customer service too! I once bought a Cricut machine from c & c it didn't work, so I contacted Cricut direct and they paid for a courier to collect mine ans sent me a brand spanking new one with extra free cartridges to compensate, so it pays to go direct to manufacturer! Did you see the new storage on create & craft today from CE, nice but expensive! Have you ordered any new dies yet, looks like everywhere had them in stock, there aren't many I am desperate for, but like a couple of sets?
Anyway pop round for coffee if your free, I will be in all week!
    Hugs

  10. Hi Sheila,
Thank you for your kind words,
Yes thank you Tinnitus has calmed down this morning. Just got back from doctors had my usual blood test for Diabetes.
Wow lucky you going to craft show,is it a big one
Sheila, will you be buying any of Sue's new die's. Bambi is a cuddly little dog,& she smiles it's so funny. Going for a walk later that will blow the cobwebs away,it's very cold but the sun is shinning & makes you feel better.I can't be leave it's February who stole January!!
Have you got plans what your doing with Nikki this weekend.i can see her dancing in my mind bless her.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

  11. Hi Lynda,
The craft show is Creative Stitches and Hobbycraft...the same company who put the big one at the NEC...it's in Manchester but not as big as The NEC but still plenty to see and hopefully some of the stalls will have Sue's new dies.
If it's not too cold Nikki and I will be out shopping, that's her other favourite hobby...I wonder who she takes after! Lol! But if it's bitterly cold she will be dancing the afternoon away! Bless her!Your two little dogs sound adorable, I would love another dog but since Nikki moved out we do like to get out when we can (depending on Clive's health ) or go away for a few days. We had a Yorkie and he lived till he was 17, we were heatbroken when he died and the day he passed away he even waited for Nikki to come home from her therapy class...two minutes after she stroked him he went.
So pleased the Tinnitus has calmed down....I always get my T's and N's mixed up in that word! I's my senior moments....so many of them these days.

Love and hugs and enjoy your walk.

    1. Hi Sheila,
The craft show sounds good,it's probably same size as A P then, they are very tiring especially if you have a couple of hours travel each way, play's havoc with my back, but worth all the pain. I would think Sue's die's would be there Sheila if they already have them on websites, you will enjoy it anyway.
We had lovely sunny day yesterday but this morning it's poring down,so me thinks hmmm a crafty day.
So sad isn't it when you loose a pet we have had lots of heart aches, always had dogs.
      Enjoy your day Sheila,

  12. Hi Lynda,
I was pleased to see the tinnitus had been less troublesome. We have a friend who suffers from this and according to my husband it is a difficult thing to cope with. Thank you for wishing me well with the children! It was great today and we did have a laugh! They made coasters today with mosaic daffodils. Looked very Springlike. Not sure that's a word but hey ho! Funnily enough our little boy in the 5 - 7 yrs asked if he could make a trainer! When I asked where he had seen those he told me his friend made one last year! We were talking about those today, weren't we! Thankfully children grow up and we don't have to keep thinking of new ideas all the time - though I'd get bored if I didn't! Thanks for your support and care.
    Take care, my friend,
    Love Myra xxx

    1. Hi Myra,thank you,
Your husband is right Tinnitus is hard to cope with at times,I don't know why some days it's the far worse some days than others it's like having hundreds of bees buzzing in my head, what with that & Terry snoring Annie snoring & Bambi too no wonder I don't sleep well.haha.
Glad you had fun with the children today.
I did leave you a message on pinserest,if you would like some peel offs for your clase to play with,I have loads & you would be welcome too them.just leave me your address in email on my blog profile thank you.

  13. Hello Lynda,
just checking in to see if you are all ok.
It's got very busy over at Sue's blog......
Not sure about her dies this time. Probably change my mind after seeing her cards over the coming weeks. I feeling better but it does depend a lot on what I'm doing. I know this but I never can pace myself so it is all my fault a lot of the time lol. Julia lives here in Mk and I never seen it before but she is doing a few workshops just outside ,a few times this year. She is taking £ 40 per session 10am-4pm so I'm not sure if it's good or prizy but I will give it a go in March so will we see if there be any more. Sorry she's not making any in your area, maybe if you asked, she might. We had snow this morning and it was so pretty but it is extremely cold. How is it down in Kent, as I can understand you live near the sea/beach ?
I have not started Broadhurst but I do enjoy Downton Abbey, it's like you know the family and all the servants Tihi. I 'll see you in Sandra's coffee shop tomorrow, hopefully after my swim and some shopping, until then Let us have a nice night as poss. Hugs Maria xx

    1. Hello Maria,
I like the Noble collection of Sue's die's the square ones they make a lovely frame & I think they are bigger than the New York ones not over struck on the weave ones, but they might grow on me.looking forward to tomorrow set's. The prise of Julia's work shop is pretty good dose that include lunch.
We had a bit of snow showers but never settled as it was raining first so ground was wet.very cold too. I'v added a new card this afternoon. Have you made any cards lately. Do you show your cards anywhere like pinserest? Would love to see some.
I think if I lived in the Downton Abbey period I would be a scullery maid ( servent ) hehe.
Enjoy your swim tomorrow Maria & see you for coffee ( tea )
