Black & white Butterfly Friday card

Avery good afternoon crafty friends.Sorry for late posting i have had internet problems
so annoying. I forgot to take a picture of the inside of today's card didn't realize till i loaded
these on,so i took the missing picture & NOW the b......y card reader won't work Aaaaaaa
Not a happy bunny, but hay ho onward & upward.

Today's card i cut a piece of card the length of my lovely Lyra die from S/W creative Expressions
i just used the cutting edge from the die & cut both side's i then just embossed the Lyra die 4 times.
matted it onto black card, but first also using the cutting edge on both side's of that as well.
Then added it to my white base card which i Embossed with the
RAMBLING BLOSSOM FOLDER BY S/W.& C/E
I cut all the flowers from the FINISHING TOUCHES CAMELLIA OPEN in black & CLOSED in white cut the butterfly's in black & white from the finishing touches MAGICAL BUTTERFLY DIE SET BY S/W CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS.glued them all together with the flowers.added flat back pearls.Arranged them on the card added some tulle under  a black bow made from black crush ribbon put a small pearl string & a pearl embellishment on the bow with two home made stick pins. stamped my sentiment from a free set on a magazine & cut it out from a S/W corner border & tag set.
Hope you like my card, Please leave me a comment i really love reading all your thoughts on my card's.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Love & Hug's Lynda xx

  4. Good Snowy Saturday Lynda,
Well it is here, more of a sheet than a 'blanket of snow but the girls are still excited!
Love your card Lynda, using Lyra as a back ground pattern is a fabulous idea, those cute little Camelia flowers are gorgeous in black and white, I have asked Sue if she could do a tutorial on the different ways of creating flowers with all the different flower dies she has bought us, I have them all except the daisy looking ones, because I had already bought a couture creations set I think when Sue had launched them a year or two ago, I think we just get stuck using them the same way time after time, but I am sure there are loads of ways to make them up! I loved your ribbon bow on this card Lynda, it looked kind of familiar! Lol,
The internet can be a goal nightmare can't it, ours was down 2 nights ago and so I ended up blogging at 1 am, in bed with a Walrus laid next to me, serenading me with his snoring! 😝
I hope that you and Terry have a lovely Weekend my lovely,
    Huge hugs,
    Sandra xxxx

    1. Hi my lovely, well as for the snow we haven't got any yet but if we do I will send it to your girl's lol.Thank you for your lovely comment Sandra. I agree with you about seeing new way's to use Sue's flower die's & maybe border die's extra it would be great if she could make a DVD or on just her Tuesday & Thursday video's.I have one of her earlier DVDs with tutorial's & techniques it's brilliant.
Perhaps if we all ask her on our blog post's she might just do something for us,what do you think.
I have a giant Walrus serenading his snoring very loudly every night.
Have a lovely time at your friend's 50th party Sandra, hope the journey doesn't knock you for six tomorrow.
Have a lovely weekend my lovely Big Hug's

  5. Oh my word Lynda, dont appologise for being late, it was WELL worth waiting for its AMAZING. When I look round you blog and Sandra's, Patricia's, Hazel's Pam's and Tina's I wonder where and how you get your inspiration from. I dont see all these various ways of using dies like you all do, a die is a die... Jeez, my work is sooo boring compared to all the cards I see. If you could see Theresa's (TOB) Theresa you would see what I mean cuz I know you visit the same blogs. If only I could show you the incredible intracut amazing bird hiuse TOB sent me it would knock your socks off and her cards - well...
You are ALL so amazing. I kniw we've said Sandra shoukd email pics to Sue but I think you all should, I think our Sue would get quite emotional to think she has helped everyone make the amazing cards etc.
Anyway, Im so glad I came back to check if you'd added another work of art.
Hope you all have a good Saturday. Stay warm and safe.

  10. Hi Lynda,
I can see you have been a very busy lady while I have been away and what fabulous, beautiful and fun cards. Your craft room is great, and look very cosy even if messy at times. All the boxes and shelves makes it look so much neater. I keep buying plastic boxes with clip locks, found them easier to open, and the boxes from the local Chines are very useful too. I so wish I had somewhere, one day...
The way you using your dies is brilliant and so inspirational and I love to try some out. The shopping list for AP is getting larger by the minute lol , when do you know to stop? Definitely need to get some more storage for the growing family of dies . Glad to see Terry is getting better, he still need more tests?
Hope you all having a nice day
    Warm hugs Maria xx

    1. Hi Maria,
Hope you enjoyed your trip last week.
Thank you for your comments, you say such lovely thing about my cards.
Yes I'm lucky to have my craft room
It was all fitted out when we rented this house, after loosing our's. I grabed it as soon as I saw it. It is actually half the garage. It was a bit of a mess after doing all the Christmas cards. Took me a while to get it sorted, but I made a card tonight well to look at all the mess on the floor you would think I made 10 cards not one HAHA.
I know what you meen about all the die's do we really need more, well I think Sue will probably bring out a new collection to coincide with AP do yo think. I will look & say oooo I want them all,but that will never happen.
I sorted all my die's out & some Spellbinders & memory box that I don't use any more, so I sold them on EBay to get some money for AP.
This is the forth time I'v done your reply it kept going to cyber space.
So I will say good night Maria

  12. Hi Linda.
WOW! What a stunning card! I agree with Margaret you really do show Sue's dies off so very well....if she ever pops over to see them she would be so very proud of you.
Will email you later and I do hope you have sorted the internet out now....I always feel as if I've lost my right arm if my internet goes down. Technology is a wonderful thing when it's working but when it's not.....grrrrrr!.
    Take care and keep warm.
