Good morning welcome to my blog & hope you all have a great Halloween

Hello all this card i made for Lisa my daughter's birthday which was yesterday
she was 43 now i do feel old where did those years go.
I started with a piece of teal foundation card covered it with  some double sided sticky sheet
i cut 4 of Sue Wilson's Spanish collection border die's took the sticky sheet off &
put my borders across across it then sprinkled glacier ice glitter jewels onto exposed sticky area's
i then glued this to a teal mat i made a frame out of white card put mounting tape for dimension  & put it over the the front of the border area, then added it to the base card .which i embossed with Sues Frosty swirls i know it's a Christmas folder but just liked the swirls poking out. I cut some open & closed Delicate daisy's by Sue of course & cut 2 magical butterfly glued all of them onto the front of the card used the petite finery spray's & cut 2 of  the fern trio added pearl embellishments to finish.
Hope you all like it.Thank you all for taking the time to look at my card. Hugs Lynda xx
Hope you like the close up shots

I finish the inside following the teal & white theme

  1. Hi Lynda,
I am really late tonight - was late checking Sue's blog too, but read you had posted a new card so dropped by to see it. It looks gorgeous. I'm sure your daughter loved it. My older son was 44 last week! Eek ! As you say - where did the years go.
A lot if work went into your card but is was well worth it. I lreally like how you finished it inside too. I love Sue's daisies. I love all her dies and have just heard her holly sprays are on their way - been waiting for them for months!
Thanks for the hug on the blog! Much appreciated . I've been a bit scared to put lists of names on the blog now .
    Hugs from me to you!
    Have a lovely weekend,

    1. Hi Myra, thank you for your lovely comments. My daughter did love her card she said it was gorgeous,& thinks I have got so much better at making them. I think that's down to Sue & her dies.I know about puting a list of names after the blog post as someone mentioned it wasn't nice on everyone else,I did stop doing it at one point but
then I thought why should I if Sue said she didn't approve I would stop but I can't see the harm myself I think it's nice to give special people a hug.
Tres mentioned Sue has a new release of dies coming out this month ahhh I haven't got all the others yet what's she doing too me I need to win the lottery.
Enjoyed the rest of the weekend BIG HUG Lynda xx

  2. Hi Lynda,
Oh your daughter must have been thrilled with your beautiful card, I just love the teal and white together and I love butterflies and Sue's daisy dies are always such a pretty addition. My dear daughter will also be 43 on the 25th of Nov so will have to get started on her card and yes the time has just flown by. Although she is special needs she always makes such a big fuss over a card I make for her, bless her. I haven't commented on Sue's blog this week as hubby and I went on a 5 day break to St. Ives in Cornwall...it's a long journey from Nth Wales but so worth the visit and it was unbelievably warm.
Take care and have a lovely weekend.

    Love Sheila xx

  3. Oh join the club Lynda of feeling old, our daughter was 43 back in August and son will be 41 on Monday, and to think when he was born we were living in ?Hong Kong which doesn't seem that long ago but it was. Your daughters card is gorgeous, I didn't get sons card done and he turned up today, so he knew I had been back at work and seeing how he was getting money for his birthday he said he'd let me off with the card. I gave up buying him a present a few years ago as he is always wanting a new bit for his camera so money goes to that. Hazel xx

    2. Just popped in to see if you had posted again and saw your message. Living in Hong Kong was wonderful, but oh how I wish we had all these modern things like face time, e-mails and I messaging. It was letters only. I made the most of being their and would take the children off out on the dollar cabs and trains etc. we lived in the new territories but visited as much as we could. Loved market shopping and just the way of live. Margaret is so right we aren't old just maturing nicely. But can you tell my body that. Hazel xx

You are never boring and you most definitely do not waffle, sorry I did not reply sooner but as I have explained in my reply we both have the flu at present so in my mind I am just grateful each morning that I have made it and woken up as for my body well the least said the better, but as I always say at least I am still breathing!
So pleased your daughter liked her card, so she should it was fabulous!
