On the inside i cut out a LYRA DIE IN TEAL& glued it inside of the front one.
Then cut out my sentiment with matting set A cut the S/W NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE
SECOND DIE.then matted my sentiment on top & added a butterfly.

    3. Good afternoon Maria,Thank you for your message. We have just got home.We had a lovely time at Lisa's,but unfortunately Terry got a sickness bug last night & was still bad this morning. He had to drive home as I dont, we had to stop off at services a couple of times, so I'm glad to be home safe.
We are the same & don't buy adult present's ether as got rather expensive so just get grandchildren present's now. But Terry surprised me with a Joanna Sheen voucher.
I have been selling some of my old Dies & die cuts on EBay & when I have enough I buy a Sue die like the Lyra die I got.
It's got really cold today & there were
Gritting lorry's on the motor way so that's not a good sign is it.
Wishing you & your family a very Happy & healthy new year love & Hugs Lynda xx

  10. Lynda, thank you for your lovely comment, I loved making their card and wallet. Yes they loved it and as they said " they won't get 2 of that one". They are both so happy and Andrew has only got a week back down in Darlington to do. He has got a transfer up here, but I think he is taking a couple of weeks off to get bits done in the cottage. They need to create storage space, thankfully he is a joiner to trade which helps. Just read your reply to Maria. That's not good about Terry, I hope he will be better soon, did you have far to travel? You will enjoy spending your voucher, we didn't give gifts to one another this year as we are going to Canada around June so we felt the money was better being put towards that. Take care if are out if the gritters are out, we have had snow just a few miles from here. Hazel xx

  11. Hi Lynda,
I just wanted to drop in and wish you Happy Christmas ! Trouble is - I'm a bit late!
I hope your husband is feeling better today.
My son and his wife took 3 1/2 hours to travel from near Southport to Warwick. Terrible jams on M6. They travelled up in just over 2 hours! My brother and family got stuck in the snow and spent a night in a Premier Inn in South Yorkshire! At least we've been at home!
Love the card you've made with the Lyra die. I love it and even used it in some Christmas cards. I got another of Sue's dies from a friend who is a crafter. Lovely!
Your little grandson Harry is adorable!

    1. Hi Myra, thank you for your lovely comments on my card & Harry yes he is gorgeous its so lovely having a new baby although I love my other two grandsons & extra two step Granddaughter's.
My son was in Egypt for Christmas he said Harry was so good the whole time,he is such a happy baby, but there last night they didn't realises the patio was open a little & in the night he started crying then they put light on he had been bitten on his little face & head, also Darren & Sam had bites all over them too. They got home at 4 am this morning.
Hubby still felt bad this morning so he phoned the 111no & they sent a paramedic out, after told him the symptoms & how he felt he took temperature & blood pressure which was a bit low.So advised him to go to casualty to have bloods done as he was a little concerned but he said there very busy prob have 8 hour wait so he said no point me going too,the paramedic took him in his car. He phoned me after a couple hours said they were keeping him in over night & have a camera down in the morning. So a bit worrying & just hoping all ok
Sorry that was a bit long winded Myra
Wishing you & your family a very happy new year Love Lynda xx

  14. Lynda that's not good about your husband, he is in the best place and he will get the camera done, where as if he came ho e they would be sending out an appointment when they had a space. Just as well you came back home and didn't stay away. Take care, Hazel xx

  15. Hi Hazel thank you very kind of you. The hospital discharged Terry this morning & yes they are sending him an appointment for the camera as no spaces today. They said he had a very bad viral infection, kept pumping antibiotics into himThen his leg became very inflamed,he has bad legs when he fell in a Pitt of costic at work 8 years ago so the skin is very thin from skin grafts,so doctor said he may have had a bad reaction to the antibiotics, they put a line around it, said if it gets bigger past the line to go back Asap. He has got a 2month Course of penicillin so hopefully things will be fine.
Happy new year Hazel to you & your family. Thank you for caring.
    Hugs Lynda xx

  16. Hi Lynda,
Checked back to see if any news of your husband. You have had a worrying time! So sorry about that. Hope the antibiotics help , though they always seem to have the dd side effect or two. You are both in my thoughts and prayers! Take care.
Sorry too the children were bitten in Egypt - it is so easy for these things to happen. Poor little chap!
This morning my husband rushed into the kitchen to tell me water coming through ceiling above lounge window! We turned water off and rang British Gas - we have a contract - engineer came inside an hour! infill pipe of toilet in main bathroom needed a new washer! Whew - could have been worse! Now we need to wait for the ceiling to dry out. Hey ho! However it is nothing compared to illness so very thankful.
Wishing you and your family all the best for 2014 and thanks for your friendship.

    1. Hi Myra thank you for your concern,it very nice of you. The hospital was supposed to ring today for appointment for the camera, but they didn't so going to ring them tomorrow & chase them up.
His leg looks very red & angry & painful
When he walks,I will keep a close eye on it.
Harry is ok they took him to the doctor about the bites when they got home,he said that with baby's they don't actually get bitten because they don't have the bad food in there body for them to eat like adults do.
So pleased your leak was not too serious Myra just hope your ceiling dry's out quickly.
It's me who should thank you for your friendship,it like I'v known you for a long time it's lovely.

  19. Thank you Maria,They discharged Hubby yesterday gave him lots of antibiotics injections, but his leg is so red & angry they said might have had a bad reaction to the antibiotics as his skin is so thin, after his accident getting badly burnt with caustic at work filling chemicals about 8 years ago, hope the penicillin tablets kick in soon.they were supposed to ring today with appointment for the camera but never,
It will also be very quiet at our house too just the two of us. Just hoping no Fireworks to freak ANNIE out,but going by November 5th we will get lots.

  22. Lynda, a happy New Year to you and Terry, whom I hope is feeling better, and that his legs has settled down. You are more than welcome to leave a message for Steph or anyone on my blog. I have left a message at the end of my comment on Sues blog for Steph saying you had put a message for her on my blog. I hope it helps her solve the problem, nothing worse than not getting things to work. Have you seen Sandra's fab craft room? That she is showing us today. Jealous or what! Have a good day. Hazel x

  24. Hi there, cannot find any message on Hazel's blog. Did it go on Sue's as Id not want her to know I have a possible problem with her new dies. Whilst im here, does anyone else have little brown bits on their cardstock left after cutting the dies ? I have to use wax paper with every ppass and die when I use pastel/white card or im spending the next hour trying to scrape off the ugly brown bits from off the edges of the card with my nail !!!
Off to see if our Tina E has anything new for us.
    Have a lovely weekend.

  25. Hi Steph, I did leave you a message on Hazels blog where you asked for help with the tTimes square Die in Ebosser. No Steph I would never ever something like that on Sue's blog. Anyway I put the die not right at the top of the plate other wise it won't go through,or pass it through with the die at the bottom of the plate,I have a 50 th birthday card on a previous post made with the die.hope this helps. I haven't had the problem with the nail scraping. Have you seen my post for the Mboss spray check it out it may help. I was having trouble with Sue's Angel having to run it through at least 6 times. With this spray it took just 2 passes.
Hugs Lynda xx enjoy your weekend.xx

  26. Hi Lynda
Yes I have had trouble with brown marks from Sue's dies but I find if you dust the die first with plenty of talc using an old makeup brush the brown marks don't appear really and if they do they just wipe off.
    Have a good weekend
