Wedding card

A very good afternoon to all the lovely ladies who stop by.
My daughter asked me to make her a wedding card
for her brother in law's daughter & this is what i came up with.
I sent her a picture of it & she loved it.
Well started with 8 x 8 card blank embossed it with Rambling blossom EF by
Creative expressions designed by Sue Wilson.I cut a soft gold piece of card
then a smaller piece in white card. the die for the focal point is a spellbinders D lite church window
i cut the two side ones then on the back put a double sided sticky sheet on
took backing off & covered with Verdigris Gilding flakes, then stamped the sentiment
onto the soft gold card & cut it out with the middle section of the die.
glued it between the windows then matted it onto the gold card then onto the base card.
I tied a double bow with hearts & dove's on from my stash, glued some tulle under in corner put bow on top with a pearl embellishment some pearl string with two complementary stick i made.
I hooked two wedding ring's to the middle section.I cut all the  Camilla complete petals in the finishing touches die set by Sue Wilson. i formed them added a pearl in middle of each
cut two Petite finery die's glued them & some leaves to the flowers.

In the inside middle section i printed the verse from computer cut it out with third die in the The Noble ornate pieced square again designed by our Sue.i inked round the edge with antique linen.
I then cut the first & second die in the set out of the soft gold card added some of the small flowers & added pearls to the middle's.
Hope you like my card please leave a comment & tell me what you think.
I would like to thank you for popping into my blog today. Did anyone see the eclipse this morning.
Love & Hugs Lynda xx

  1. Hi Lynda,
I wish I was getting married again !( of course to the same OH) tihi. No wonder your daughter liked this card for her brother-in law's daughter, it is wonderful and you have been very brave again using gilding flakes ( I'm not going near it for a long time ) I like the church windows and then you have made some pretty camellia's with the petite finery or is it vinery ? Your stick pins are gorgeous Lynda, did you buy the pack from SW ?
Really hope you are feeling a lot better by now, must have been some horrible days for you and I hope you getting your strength back again. Red there is No nappies or plastic undies allowed at AP for our first meeting hihi so I hope you are well for that. How are you coming, is Terry taking you ?
I went with a friend ( my OH ex ) yesterday down to Halstead in Essex, she used to live down in Frinton and have kept her dentist so she was due a check-up so I went with her for the drive and we ended up in Kent hihi not far just the Dartford bridge but it cost us £ 5 to get back in to Essex .I tell you it always happen something crazy when we are out. It was a good but long day so was rather tired coming back so had a early night and at last my sleep pattern is better then for a long time, only wished it lasted, oh well that's life !
Missed the eclipse as I was in the pool at the time but Christian said he saw it and taken a photo, he will show it to me when back from work tonight. Did you have your dark glasses on ? Take care and love to you and the rest of the family ! Hugs Maria xx

    1. Hi Maria
Thank you so much for your kind words. I got my beads from Hobbycraft as the SW ones on CC were too expensive for me at £60 & not selling my cards so not worth it.

I'm back too normal well I'v never been normal hihi thanks it does drain you that bug. Good job as no TL & plastic knickers allowed at AP. Terry is driving me as I don drive. Is your OH bringing you? Where about do you live Maria. We used to live not far from Dartford, now we are in Broadstairs Kent 5min from beach love it here. 2. Hi Lynda (db)
Well Lynda you have managed to capture the opulence from inside a church with those gorgeous gilding flakes behind the church windows, what a gorgeous little touch the wedding rings make! You are such a clever old bird! Your stick pins match perfectly too!
Does Terry notice all your parcels arriving, containing your new crafty bits? I try to organise mine to come on a week day, but I did get a JS parcel yesterday, luckily he was dashing out to shop so it distracted him! No more buying for me now until AP, how long have we got to wait?
    Love & hugs

Thank you Sandra for your kind words well not sure about the clever "old bird " bit haha you do make me laugh Sandra :0)) I'v had that die ages,I had a JS voucher from Lisa for Mother's Day & i got Two new die's with it,but I get lots of bits from my paypal selling on EBay. Have spent that at moment so won't get any more bits now till AP not long now. Yes I do hide a lot from Terry as he doesn't understand I need it & Want it, he doesn't mind really as it's not out the bank. Hope Becca has got over her bad experience with those horrible hooligans,& hasn't put her off going out at night bless her.

  4. Hi Lynda,DB oh dear tihi
Sound nice to live near the sea side but don't it be a bit blustery and cold at times. Spent quite a few days down in Bournemouth were my youngest step-son lives and it's lovely when weather is good but it can be sooo cold too lol
To many tourists /people down there.
Rick is taking me to AP on the Saturday morning, he then have a match to go and see starting at 3pm so I wait for him to pick me up after so it will be a full day, normally can't move the next day ,might see you in that 6 foot hole lol but it's worth it especially when I get to meet you this time. Is Terry coming in with you at AP or is he doing something else ?
We live in Milton Keynes but on the outskirt a bit ( Caldecotte )so ca.5 miles in to town which is nice. Woburn is around the corner with it's house and safari park, well it gives you an idea I hope where I am. Its amazing how we all live all over and can still become friends like this, tihi even if you tell someone that you got on-line friends they think you are nut but this is so far off from saying you got 300 friends if you are on facebook etc. so Thank you to SW we will see eachother in a few weeks.
Going out again with my friend tomorrow after swim, yes the same one lol She has only gone and sold her house but have nowhere to go so I will go with her and look into some estate agents but holding no much luck,uj
Take care and love and hugs to you and the family BFBWDB that will get you thinking tihi

  5. Morning Lynda. At long last Ive caught up ! What a delight of goodies, especially your 'Izzy' bag, for your first attempt is brilliant. I bet Izzy is SO mega chuffed so many ladies love her bags that much we cant get enough of em lol. One day I hope to find the time to sit and follow Saba's instructions and have a bash at one - only problem is that im SO thick that even the easiest of instructions has me scratching my head out of confusion and sulking out of frustration lol.
Well Im so glad ive now caught up on the few blogs I like to follow (good job I dont have a long list of blogs to follow) !!!
So I'll send my love and say how lovely your cards are that I missed, and wish you a good day whatever your plans are.
    Hugs.

    1. Hi Steph thank you so much for your lovely comments. Steph I'm the same believe ME I was scratching my head reading the Izzy bag instructions so I copied Saba's instuctions onto a piece of paper & made the lines for cutting & folding darker & sizes I found that easier, like you I find video instuction much easier too folow. In my case it's a seiner thing lol
You should try & slow down a bit with all you have been through lately, hope your stay in hospital was beneficial for your health Steph.
      Big Hug's Lynda xx
