Thank you & Update pictures of Harry my gorgeous grandson
A very good morning to everyone that calls in today,i hope you are all well & the weather is kind to you, yesterday was very heavy rain & hailstones, windy & cold.Today we have a little bit of sun but looks like rain again.
I started with a 8 x 8 scalloped edge card base matted with black card then a white matt
the focal element is on a black piece of card i used a Art stencil from Clarity stamps / Stencils
I used Cosmic sparkle texture paste Chic Aubergine & spread it over the stencil,
Took off the stencil & let it dry. Once dry i matted it onto the white matt. stamped my sentiment
From Phill Martin Chic floral everyday sentiments cut it out with the third die from the Stockholm Die set then cut one in black card & shadowed it. Then added flowers & splendid swirls From the finishing touches range by Sue Wilson. Made bow & added a small flower.
Well hope you like my Card. I would love to read what you think & thank you all for calling into my little blog.
The middle section i cut the first die from the Noble classic square out of black card
Then cut the third die from the pierced square & cut my verse out of white card & matted that onto the black square added a small flower & swirls to the side
A few pictures of my gorgeous little grandson Harry, a couple of the ladies
have asked how he is so i thought i would post a couple of pictures.
He is growing up fast.
In this one he is chilling out my Son Sam & Harry are on holiday.
Darren booked a surprise holiday for Sam's birthday,so it's just the three of them.
This is Alfie my other grandson from Darren's disaster of a marriage to the B...H
( can you tell i don't like her )
Have a lovely day Hug's Lynda xxxx

Love the card I treated myself to some of the texture paste at AP Myst be brave and have a play! Your grandsons are a delight I think I'd describe my ex brother in law the same way as your son's ex!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,Thank you so much for your lovely comments, you should have a go with the texture past it's quite easy really. I just tape the mask to the card & then put the paste over the mask & carefully take mask off, once dry cut off extra card
ReplyDeleteMy grandsons are both a delight we haven't seen Alfie much over the last six years he is 9 now because of her very long story. My daughter has a son, my other grandson Joseph he is 10 he is also my special boy.
Thanks again Karen Hug's Lynda xx
Hi Lynda,
ReplyDeletehope you are fine, no more migraine for a long time for you hopefully!
Beautiful card, love the colour and the glitter paste is so gorgeous. Have not done any of that before but it is not too late.
Well what can I say than your grandchildren are lovely not least little Harry, he can melt hearts he Big Hug to him from aunty M hihi
Had a few busy days with friends over from germany. The wife do not speak much english so we had a good laugh trying to understand each other at times lol. Making them breakfast, taking them around ,going in the shops and eating out and late evenings made me feel really exhausted. Don't get me wrong it was lovely to see them but when you are in pain and just want to sit ,it's hard to smile and be happy. Anyhow they left yesterday so now back to some normality lol I can take out my crafting things again and the GC, they were all tidied away for making the house look neater and not a crafting heaven in the kitchen, bedroom and lounge tihi I have so much really so if I only could see to put some cards together I'll be a very happy Hippo! You take care, Love and hugs to you and to your family, Maria xx
Hi Maria, thank you very much for your lovely comments. Touch wood my migraine is better now, they just knock me for six when I get them. Glad you had nice time with your friends, I know what you meen it's nice to have friends round but it is exhausting & so pleased when they go & you can relax. Have you not made any cards with all the goodies you bought at AP.

Hi Lynda. Love the colour of that texture paste. Ive not been brave enough to try anything like those techniques where you use masks and paste etc Im the kind of gal that thinks those spray inks that are so popular now stand a chance of looking messy if you dont get the technique just so, so rather than 'trying' and it looking blotchy or like someone has splattered ink blobs on my card, I admire others that are brave enough to do it right without looking a mess
ReplyDeleteMaybe one day I will try the paste.
What a head of curly blond hair your grandson has, bless.
Have a good bank holiday weekend whatever your plans.
Lancashire Steph xx
Thank you so much Steph for your lovely comments on my card. Steph you should have a go with the mask & texture past, look if I can do it I'm sure you can. Your too hard on yourself.
ReplyDeleteHarry's hair has just started going curly my son had very Curley hair when he was little he hated it. Hug's Lynda xx
Hi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI love the colours of the card, and of course you can't go wrong with a Clarity stencil. The card is gorgeous.
Your grandsons are so handsome, and Harry looks as though he has those wonderful little arms and legs that you could just take a bite of (not literally, he's just so mmmmmm).
Glad your Migraine has settled down, they are horrible.
Maureen xx
Hello Maureen, thank you for your lovely comments & for popping into my little blog. I haven't got a cafe but could make you a cupper if you like haha, Yes I have had a few bites out of Harry's arms & legs & sucked on his toes. I think if he could talk he would phone child line & report me lol. Have a good weekend Maureen what ever you have planned.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Hug's Lynda xx

Hello Sandra Thank you very much for leaving me such lovely comments.i have also used the clear texture past & a few other colours I got 3 of the masks from Clarity at AP. They are all lovely.
DeleteHarry gets his curls from his dad. Darren had a mass of curls but when he got older he hated them & still does he cuts his so short now. My Dad also had very curly hair.
They have been on holiday & Sent me some gorgeous pictures of Harry,
I sent for a set of those stamps you used yesterday from Sunrise craft,so I'm hoping they come out as good as yours,I loved your card so much. Which ink pads did you use or can you use anyone's. Thank you Sandra
Love & Hug's. Lynda xxxxxxxx
You can use any ink pads Lynda, even distress inks, I used memento inks (the little ones) as they are great for inking up intricate bits of stamps!
DeleteYou will love them I look forward to seeing what you create!
My brother us like your Darren , he had proper curly hair that he has clipper end off, he gets it from my dad, who had very curly hair!
Hugs
Sandra
