HELLO TOO ALL WHO POP BY YOUR ALL WELCOME.
This 70th birthday card i was asked to make well two card's actually this one & a blue one.
For a lady that work's in the same cafe in the park, after seeing my last card posted i made for the engagement card of the owner.
First i embossed the card with the rambling floral folder by Creative expressions
designed by Sue Wilson. i then cut two weaving dies in the classic in red & two striped in white
i glued the white onto the red card then i cut one of them into strips then weaved them.
I cut the classic rectangle in the Noble range to make a frame &i put mountain foam on too add dimension, cut all the pieces that were sticking out, then put mountain foam on the back & put it onmy base card i cut the numbers out in red & white card & shadowed them placed them in the middle arranged the flowers & sugared the larger ones for a bit of bling & made two complimentary stick pins.Stamped the Happy birthday & cut out with Sue's pierced tag.s then cut the larger size too shadow it shaped it glued it in corner with a tiny flower.
The inside hasn't been done yet as the lady wants to write what she want's me too add.
Thank you too all that enter it would be lovely if you could leave me a comment as i love reading them. Hug's Lynda xx

Great card ai bought both of the weaving dies at AP I can't wait to play at the week end Now bear with as I'm looking on my iPod! Have you stuck the stripes onto the middle of the classic? If so, yet another weave to try!
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteif you go on you tube Sue has a video showing you how too do it.Its on creative expressions crafting my style on 5th Feb Hope this helps.
Basically you just stick the striped one on top of the classic.
Thank you for you lovely comment

Lynda, was the weaving die an Ally Pally buy? You have made a beautiful card with it. Have you finished Harry's christening cards? I keep meaning to ask? I have now got to cut 25 horse shoe die cuts and 25 horse heads for these invites I am doing! What tells you the bride and groom are into their horses?? Hazel x
ReplyDeleteHi Hazel, thank you for your kind comments.
ReplyDeleteHarry's invites are ready nothing very elaborate only stamping & a bow but that's what Sam wanted so just waiting for mum to let me know what she wants inside I keep reminding her but she aways leaves things to the last minute then I'm rushed as Chastening is beginning of June.
I didn't get the weaving die's at AP I already had them I do love useing them.
Wow I'll have to name you the invite queen lol
I saw your card with the horse heads on it is cute have you got your daughters help again.look forward to seeing them.

Morning Lynda, how are you and is Terry now feeling better ? Lovely card, you 're brave doing the weaving, if I tried it I'm sure I would cock it up one way or other hihi that's me. The flowers are pretty, did you make them. Nice stick pins ? I bought the pierced tags at AP and when I used them yesterday one did not cut the back .and I saw that the die is a bit faulty but not to bad so I want go through the problem by having it changed. Luckily the others seem to be alright.
ReplyDeleteI'm still thinking a lot how meeting up with you and the others at AP went so well tihi it was so great and if you know how nervous I was beforehand. The photos turned out really nice and so 'cool' to have one with a celebrity, tihi not you or saying that you might be one and I don't know it. Thank Terry again for taking them ,it's nice to put faces to the names we see every day .
Yesterday I went to the gym and after went out with a friend for the day. Ended up at Frost the garden centre and had lunch outside, oh it was lovely in the warm sun for the crikey bones. Got back late so by the time I posted on Sandra's my eye's were closing during writing the comment hihi so tired. Today we have been to London meeting my sister-in-law and OH cousin and got back late again but tonight ,no sleep sand sprinkled yet and my neck and shoulders screaming, not even painkillers have numb it so I'm sitting here for a bit longer. Luckily I have plenty of recordings to watch so that's ok. Once again a lovely card and I envy you and all who can put together a card so easily. I tried yesterday but no luck so had to take a card I made about two years ago I kept in a box and found that the glue from the mount foam had gone through to the front, stupid thing. Anyhow I covered it up as good as possible and brought it with me today to give to SIL's daughter for her birthday, just hope she don't see the bobo lol. It's late or early depending how you see it but will say bye for now and let you sleep, sure you tired to listening to my drawl, Take care Love and hugs to you and the family ! Maria xx
Hi Maria, thank you so much for your lovely comment. I didn't make the flowers I bought them at AP. I do feel a bit of a cheat not making them though. But I made the stick pin's. Maria one of the tags doesn't cut on the end,as you can either make it longer or shorter or just cut it off. Sue has a tutorial on you tube useing them & she explains it better than I do I'm not good at explaining things hihi.
DeleteI wish I lived nearer too you so we could craft together.
How's your neck & shoulders hope you get better soon I am going to make an appointment at doctors next week as the pain in my neck, back & feet is getting me down,I have a feeling it's Arthritis.Did you have a good day in London. I'm sure your SIL's daughter loved her card you made for her.
Have you ever looked on you tube, all Sue's videos are on there if you subscribe to creative expression they are all saved for you.
Thank you again my friend love & Hug's Lynda xxxx

Hi Lynda,
ReplyDeleteI finally got here!
Your weaving looks lovely! Was it hard to get it right? I love your big numerals too, they are useful to have. I also love your stick pins and I'm sure the lady was very pleased with it!
Have a lovely weekend. Weather lovely here but not so warm as it was a couple of weeks ago. However it's still lovely and a visit to the garden centre is in the offing!

Hello Lynda,
ReplyDeleteThis is my second attempt to post, so keep your fingers crossed.
I can't believe that I haven't found you before but I only did so today when I read a post on someone else's blog.
I've gone back to see some earlier posts and it's lovely to see such a spread of techniques. Your weaving effect is fab, and yesterday's stamping, what a stamp - it's lovely. One for my collection I think.
The photo's of your grandson are so lovely and I wish your son good luck in his venture.
Now that I've found you - you'll wish I hadn't!!!!
Love Maureen xxxx
Hello Maureen so pleased you found my little blog. Thank you so much for your kind words. The Lilies stamp it's from Oysterstamps a Honey Doo Crafts clear stamp,I also got the Rose stamp, used that yesterday so I feel another post coming on. I'm not as good as our cafe owner Sandra, but have got better with the help of SW & her die's. It's a shame Karen gave up on the weaving die's. If I can do it anyone can.
ReplyDeleteIt's so lovely having a new little grandson he is so gorgeous,i love my other too grandsons to bit's but something magical about a new baby, can't beleave he will be one at the beginning of June. My Daughter's son said last week now he is 10 he is too old for kisses so he will just give me a Hug HaHa. I will go now or you might not return again with my wafaling:0)) Thanks again Maureen for stopping by.
